The church of Transfiguration of Jesus Christ in Wiśniowa, consecrated by Bishop Mikołaj Oborski on 15 November 1681, was originally built as a hospital chapel belonging to the parish in Kiełczyna. Wiśniowa officially became a parish on 10 July 1810 through the effort of the heir to the estate, Eustachy Kołłątaj. The temple is a rectangular building with a smaller, apse-shaped chancel built inside, around which the sacristy is located. Hugo Kołłątaj’s heart is cast into one of the walls of the chancel, under the commemorative plaque.

In the side nave, there are four windows with stained glass. There is also one window on the gallery. The timber ceiling is plastered. The main entrance to the church is located in the western wall. In the southern section of the building, there is a Baroque portal from the 18th century, The main altar is made of stone and depicts the Apostles Peter and Paul among four columns. The centrepiece painting of Transfiguration of Jesus Christ is mobile. The metal tabernacle is lined with marble slabs. In the nave, there are two marble side altars with the painting of Madonna with Child and St John the Baptist, and of Our Lady of Częstochowa. The parish keeps records dating back to 1838.
