The oldest “town garden” in Staszów, created in 1866, is located in the heart of the town, on the banks of the Czarna Staszowska river. Gravel paths wind through the tall, old trees, and in the centre of the park, there is a building with the offices of a number of NGOs.

In the park, you can also find the Monument to the Polish Soldier, unveiled in 2018 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of restoration of Poland’s sovereignty. The monument is the venue of the sovereignty annual celebrations commemorating the Battle of Staszów of 17 February 1863 in which the Polish troops defeated the Russians. Opposite the park, on the other bank of the river, there are old barracks, originally built for the Russian Imperial army. After the restoration of independence in 1918, the 2nd Legions Infantry Regiment stationed in the barracks.
