Trzeci Upust is a scenic ruin of a lock on the Czarna Staszowska river, located at the local road from Staszów to Zagrody, in the vicinity of Rzeczna street. You will find the entrance to the ruined lock opposite the water intake point. In mid-19th century, the construction of the mill canal to Staszów began in this place. Two dams were also built: the large sluice to control the river swelling along the road to Kurozwęki, and the small sluice connecting the canal with the river. The Desta river was connected to the Czarna river, and a duct for the Desta was built under the canal in Długa street.
The old lock is a popular destination for hiking and cycling trips. The murmur of water flowing through the ruins and the quiet, green surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for relaxation.
