At the road from Staszów to Kurozwęki, you can see a cross commemorating the January Insurgents who died there. It is located on the slope of the hill rising above the Czarna river and the village of Zagrody. In 2013, the area around the cross was cleaned up. Every year, a ceremony is held there to honour the memory of Polish troops killed during the January Uprising of 1863.
