In the village of Wiśniowa, 8 kilometres from Staszów, you can see one of the most interesting historic objects in the Staszów region - the Kołłątaj Palace originating from the first half of the 18^th century.

The rectangular, two-storey building has an interesting, 19^th-century staircase with Baroque-styled elements, and a portico with six Tuscan columns. The palace also houses the Hugo Kołłątaj Memorial Chamber where you can see original documents penned by this famous Polish statesman and historian, and learn more about his life and work. The park surrounding the palace dates back to the 18^th century.

Since 2018, the palace in Wiśniowa has been undergoing a comprehensive renovation, financed from the Regional Operational Programme for Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship 2014-2020, and also by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
